Emergency Alert System

Thank you for your interest in signing up for Towns County’s Emergency Notification System, which will notify you of severe weather and other emergencies. We are proud to offer this new service to the public. An Emergency Notification System, or Reverse 911 as they are sometime known, gives those in charge of Government and Public Safety Officials the ability and technology to reach out to the public in case of important or emergency events. This system, combined with our emergency alert methods, is designed to get emergency messages to you the public, quickly and effectively. This does not prelude you from calling 911 if you need emergency information; it simply provides an opportunity for us to disseminate critical information to you if and when the need arises.  

IMPORTANT NOTES:

• We maintain a constantly updating database of all land line telephone numbers registered in Towns County. Feel free to list any additional land line phone numbers; however, we are most interested in gathering cell phone numbers and email addresses.
• If you have a Towns County address, please provide it in the Street Address field, in the event of a localized emergency your local address will integrate with the notification systems mapping capabilities.
• Your information will remain in the custody of the Towns County GIS/911 Mapping Office at all times, and will only be used for Important Events and Emergency Notification purposes.
• If you would like to Opt-Out of this service you can do that on this website or go to the Commissioner’s Office located in the Courthouse or the GIS/911 Mapping Office located on Jack Dayton Cir.
